In a heartwarming display of commitment to education and community welfare, Macmillan Education Eswatini has generously donated books, stationery, ruler sets, and backpacks to 16 orphaned and vulnerable children in the Shiselweni region. The beneficiaries, residing in the rural area of Hlathi, are under the care of the Gogo Nde Care Centre, an orphanage dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children facing adversity, including those with disabilities and chronic diseases.
The much-needed donation was handed over by Macmillan's Sales and Marketing representatives, Mcebo Magagula and Sibonakaliso Dlamini. Their presence and commitment to making a positive impact in the community reflect Macmillan's unwavering support for education and its mission to contribute meaningfully to society.

The Director of Gogo Nde Care Centre, overwhelmed with gratitude, expressed her excitement upon receiving the donation. She emphasised the timely nature of the contribution, particularly as the children prepare to return to school. Given the orphanage's financial constraints, donating educational materials and essential supplies is a beacon of hope for both the children and the caretakers.
The orphanage, led by the dedicated Director Gogo Nde, has been facing challenges exacerbated by limited funds, compounded by the struggles of old age and disability. Therefore, the generous donation from Macmillan Education Eswatini serves as a lifeline, easing the burden on the caretakers and providing a much-needed boost for the children's education.

Macmillan is proud to be part of initiatives that contribute to the betterment of society," he remarked.
The event not only symbolises Macmillan's corporate social responsibility but also highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in creating a positive impact on the community. As the children of Gogo Nde Care Centre gear up for the new school term, they do so with renewed hope and enthusiasm.
